TRNSMT 2017
Festival guide
T in the Park might be taking a break this year, but its organisers are simply ploughing all their energies into running a brand new festival instead. Staged at Glasgow Green from 7th July, TRNSMT promises three days of camping-free music consumption, and boasts Radiohead, Biffy Clyro and Kasabian as headliners. Delve deeper into the line-up below.
Top picks
London Grammar
Fresh from scoring their very first number one album with Truth Is A Beautiful Thing, Nottingham-formed trio London Grammar are set to soothe the masses at Glasgow Green on the Friday. Don’t miss your chance to catch their brooding dream-pop live, not least because frontwoman Hannah Reid boasts one of the most spellbinding voices in the business. Fact.
Everything Everything
Two years on from their maximalist, fidget-pop opus Get To Heaven, Everything Everything are preparing to drop the follow-up they recorded with Simian Mobile Disco’s James Ford. You can get a taster of songs from fourth LP A Fever Dream during their Friday set in support of Radiohead, alongside back catalogue classics like ‘Schoolin’, ‘Cough Cough’ and ‘Distant Past’.
The 1975
From scoring a number one album on both sides of the Atlantic and winning a BRIT for Best British Group to performing sell-out shows all over the world, The 1975 have been enjoying the success of their second album for well over a year now. Sunday’s your chance to see what all the fuss is about - you can catch them before Biffy Clyro.
