    Lana Del Rey

From ‘Video Games’ and ‘Summertime Sadness’ to ‘Shades Of Cool’, Lana Del Rey’s forte has always been noir-ish pop that deals predominantly with doomed romance. Turns out she’s every bit as brilliant when she’s not navel-gazing, as evidenced on her last two doe-eyed singles ‘Love’ and ‘Lust For Life’. See if this happy patch is set to last by getting a sneak preview of more material from Lana’s forthcoming fourth LP during – what will be – her first set of festival season.

    Stormzy

Being the inaugural recipient of the MOBO for Best Grime Act, the first unsigned rapper to appear on ‘Later... with Jools Holland’, and the first artist ever to chart with a freestyle, Stormzy could be forgiven for being blasé about success by now. Regardless, the South London rapper seemed genuinely taken aback when his debut album, Gang Signs And Prayer, charted at number one back in February. Expect to hear some of its many highlights in Hull, quite possibly aided by some special guests.

    Mura Masa

Guernsey-born producer Alex Crossnan was just 16 when he began making music on Ableton, inspired by Hudson Mohawke, James Blake and SBTRKT. At 19 he was placed fifth in the BBC’s Sound of poll, receiving support from Annie Mac and BBC Radio 1. Now 21, he’s set to release his star-studded, self-titled debut on July 14th, featuring collaborations with Nao, A$AP Rocky, Charli XCX and Damon Albarn. If you’re into genre-hopping electronic-pop, his set on Sunday is not to be missed.
