V Festival 2017
Festival guide
Simultaneously held at Hylands Park, Chelmsford and Weston Park, Staffordshire, fro, August 18th to 20th, V Festival has plenty to offer the young pop and hip hop connoisseurs out there. Whether you want to see heavyweights like Jay Z or dip into the new school with Nadia Rose, check out our ones to watch.
Top picks
Sean Paul
While dancehall is having a bit of a moment in the mainstream, you'd be foolish to forget the scene's king. Sean Paul is the man with pop's midas touch: Beyoncé, Sia and more will all attest to the fact that a guest feature from him is truly a guarantee of certified quality. Whether you want to 'Shake That Thing' or 'Get Busy', this will be a stupidly fun set loaded with sweaty bangers.
P!nk
There's no denying the power of in-your-face pop queen P!nk. Through her songs she's made as much of a name for herself considering the brutal realities of a broken home as she has imploring people to "get the party started". As well as the strength of her music, her live shows are famed for being something else: think trapeze and zorbing. This should be entertaining in every possible sense of the word.
Nadia Rose
Trust us when we say if you don't know, you'll want to get to know Croydon rapper Nadia Rose and her 'Skwod'. The cousin of Stormzy, it seems this family's got bars in their blood: this year's Highly Flammable mixtape boasted bouncy, brazen tunes with brilliantly assured delivery and flow. If grime and bashment are your bag, you'll want to get to this.
