7digital What we said: As creators of one of the finest debuts of 2012, this Minneapolis-formed four-piece could justifiably have enjoyed a couple of years off to bask in the glory. Fortunately for us, they surged straight on with their sophomore effort. Shulamith still finds Channy Leanagh and chums melding elements of dub and electro into their sad-eyed alt-R&B, but it’s a more diverse set than Give You The Ghost, ranging from the murky industrial sounds of ‘Very Cruel’ to the wonky, upbeat, electronic-pop of ‘Chain My Name’. Look out for the cheeky cameo from their Justin Vernon on synthetic slow-jam ‘Tiff’ too; he’s their number one fan, you know.
