It should go a long way towards improving her karma, providing listeners with a feast of throaty, electro-influenced pop that, fortunately, owes more to Bernard Sumner than it does Gordon. In fact, the only inkling she’s spawned from Sting comes from the reggae inflections of ‘No Smile’ and St. Etienne cover, ‘Only Love Can Break Your Heart’. So, for composing the distorted guitar chug of Robyn-featuring ‘Caesar’, plus a raft of other pop gems, it’s time for Coco to quit the self-flagellation and accept our acclaim.
